The Surgery.
Formerly called the Acorn Veterinary Group the surgery here was opened in 1989.
Most regular surgical procedures can be performed at the Elizabeth Street surgery, and with our own in-house laboratory and x-ray facilities investigations can often be completed on the same day as your appointment.
If you have a problem with obesity in your pet please ask for a free weight check appointment with our nursing staff who will be able to calculate the dietary requirements for your pet. We are now running nurse clinics for this and many other routine treatments.
Appointments
If you wish to contact the surgery for advice or an appointment please phone between the hours of 8:30am - 6:30pm, weekdays or 9:00am - 10:00am on Saturdays, outside these hours emergency calls will be received by our staff either at Huddersfield or at our main surgery in Halifax.

On Saturdays, the staff work on a rota system.
This practice has been accredited as an RCVS General Practice – Species/Discipline Specific. This means that, in addition to complying with Core Standards, such as health and safety, hygiene and legal requirements and the provision of 24-hour cover, we also have access to laboratory facilities for diagnostic testing, have a system for monitoring the outcome of treatments and show commitment to the education and training of our staff. |
