Discounted
vaccination during March 2008
If your pet is more than six months late with their booster vaccination
you can benefit from a nationwide health campaign.
During March we are participating in an amnesty for the UK’s 11
million unprotected dogs, cats and rabbits at risk of potentially fatal
diseases.
Animal health company, Intervet, has shown that a number of serious and
deadly diseases have been reported in this area. Parvovirus can cause
life-threatening gastro-intestinal disease while leptospirosis, a bacterial
disease, can be transmitted to people.
Cat ‘flu is still far too common and is the most common cat disease
in the UK. Ongoing mild weather conditions continue to put rabbits at
risk of myxomatosis, a fatal disease spread by biting insects, which was
particularly prevalent last autumn.
West Mount Vets are urging pet owners to protect against these diseases.

Throughout March, National Vaccination Month aims to limit
the spread of disease by offering pet owners the chance to vaccinate for
less. Dogs and cats will require two vaccinations 2-3 weeks apart to re-start
the course. We are offering you these two vaccinations for the price of
a normal booster.
If your dog or cat has not been vaccinated in the last 18 months, or
the last 9 months for rabbits, go to www.vaccinationmonth.co.uk
to download your voucher and then phone us to book your appointment at
one of our surgeries
We would like to encourage as many owners as possible to take advantage
of this fantastic offer. It is a great opportunity to have a health-check
whilst getting the protection that all our pets deserve.
Please do not hesitate to phone us with any queries or to make an appointment.
