West Mount Vets - Emergencies
Our vets and nurses are qualified and trained in emergency procedures.
All our surgeries have medicines and equipment on hand to allow a quick response in case of accident or sudden illness, to treat shock, to alleviate pain, and in serious cases to perform emergency surgery.
When the branch surgeries are closed a team is always on-site, day and night, ready to respond if you need us, at our Royal College approved and inspected Veterinary Hospital (187 Pellon Lane, Halifax, 01422 354542).
Call any of our surgeries out-of-hours and the call will be transferred to Halifax. Your call may be answered directly or, if the team is on standby, you will hear a message giving the emergency procedure and the current emergency number.
Emergencies involving pet animals are almost always best dealt with at the surgery, where trained assistance and all the necessary equipment and medicines are on-hand, but please always telephone before setting off, so that we can prepare for your arrival.
